What a great day at the district track meet. The JV & Varsity boys both finished in 2nd place, varsity by 7 points. The Girls are the 2024 DISTRICT CHAMPS!!!
So proud of all of the kids & track coaches this season. The girls went from finishing in 6th place last year as a team and only having 8 girls participate in the meet to winning the district meet and taking 20+ girls to the meet today. The varsity boys finished 5th as team last year and improving to a
second place finish. The JV finished 2nd last year by over 115 points, & this year we finished 2nd again but cut the loss down to 24 points. So many of our athletes improved each week and ran their best times of the year at the right time.
Something else to mention is as you look at the kids participating almost everyone of them is a participant in at least one more extracurricular event whether it be baseball, softball, OAP, band, FFA, academic UIL. These athletes are showing what the term student athlete is, & what it means to be #ALLIN.
