MUSTANGS Move On To State Quarter-Finals

With a 31-30 win over perennial powerhouse, Mart - the Mustangs punched their ticket to the Regional Round of the UIL Playoffs. Their opponent will be district rival, Grapeland. The two teams met in district play on September 27th, with the Mustangs getting the hard-fought victory 41-36. District 11 is well-represented this year, with Overton, Grapeland and Mt. Enterprise representing 3 of the 16 teams remaining in the 2A Division II playoff bracket. Mark your calendars for this Friday, November 29th. Kick off is scheduled for 6:00pm at Athens' Bruce Field. All Tickets are $5. THSCA, District 11 passes, and senior citizen passes will be accepted. GO MUSTANGS!!!
