Overton ISD Pre-K teacher, Crystal Merritt joined a very select group today. She was recognized as one of 7 new National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT) through Region 7 ESC. She is the first OISD teacher to achieve this certification. Only 3% of teachers across the nation can claim this recognition, and currently only 0.3% in Texas.
