🏈 HOMECOMING 2026 | PARKING & EVENT INFORMATION 💚🤍
Mustang Nation, thank you for your cooperation with our stadium parking arrangements! Tomorrow night marks our third home game of the season, and we've had very few parking issues thanks to our fans. With another big crowd expected for Homecoming, please review the attached parking and stadium entrance map before arriving.
🚗 PARKING REMINDERS
Handicap Parking: The lot behind Overton Elementary is reserved exclusively for handicap parking on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reserved Parking: The lot at the southeast corner of the elementary and the hill beside the playground are reserved for event workers, concession workers, and OISD employees.
General Fan Parking: Please use the High School student parking lot or the Transportation PIT at the east end of the football field. Overflow parking is also available at the softball field and along both shoulders of Warren Street.
Stadium Entry: Three ticketing entrances are identified on the attached map.
🚐 COMPLIMENTARY PARKING SHUTTLE
Let's face it—our parking situation is less than ideal, and the popularity of our Magnificent Mustangs makes it even more challenging!
A complimentary shuttle will make continuous round trips from the PIT and overflow parking areas to the stadium's concession entrance, beginning one hour before kickoff and continuing through the first quarter.
Fans arriving near or after kickoff should anticipate parking farther from the stadium. Our shuttle will be working to help as many fans as possible make that trek. Security officers and campus staff will also be assisting with traffic flow and parking safety.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: AFTER-GAME STUDENT PICKUP
Parents picking up students after the game, please DO NOT attempt to enter Mustang Alley immediately following the game. Visiting team buses and other vehicles will be exiting the parking areas, and inbound traffic will not be admitted until those areas have cleared.
Instead, please park along Henderson Street or in other perimeter parking areas while outbound traffic clears. This will help us avoid gridlock, maintain safe traffic flow, and get everyone on their way as efficiently as possible. Thank you for helping us keep Mustang Alley moving!

Weather permitting, Ashley Cary and her family plan to host a Homecoming tailgate Friday afternoon, complete with hot dogs and all the fixin's! The entire Mustang community is invited to join them!

7:00 PM – Mustangs vs. Tenaha Kickoff
With rain possible, we are monitoring the forecast closely. Our preference is to hold the Homecoming ceremony on the football field as planned. However, if weather conditions warrant, we may move the ceremony to the High School Gym.
A final venue decision will be announced no later than 5:00 PM Friday to allow time for setup and decorations.
Regardless of the location, the Homecoming ceremony WILL begin at 6:30 PM!

The festivities get underway Thursday, October 1, when our state-ranked Lady Mustang Varsity Volleyball team takes on Trinity at 5:00 p.m.
Then on Friday, October 2, it’s Homecoming Friday Night Lights as Mustang Football hosts the Tenaha Tigers at 7:00pm. Come home, reconnect with old friends, and help us fill the stands with Mustang Green! 💚🏈
And don’t head home too soon! On Saturday, October 3, join us at the Overton Golf Club for the annual Mustang Classic Golf Tournament. This fun 4-person scramble tees off at 8:00 a.m. and is open to alumni, community members, friends, and supporters of Overton ISD and Overton Rotary.
Proceeds from the Mustang Classic benefit Overton ISD student scholarships and Rotary community projects—so you can enjoy a great morning of golf while supporting a great cause.

Tonight, the Overton Mustangs take on the Hawkins Hawks at 7:00 p.m. in our final non-district game before district competition begins next week. We hope to see a great crowd come out and support our Mustangs!
With district play approaching, we also wanted to share some information about athletic ticket prices and answer a few questions we have seen recently.
District ticket prices are established by the District Executive Committee and are consistent among schools within our competition district. While ticket prices for non-district games may vary from school to school, once district competition begins, ticket prices are the same whether the Mustangs are playing at home or traveling to a district opponent.
We certainly understand that no one enjoys seeing prices increase. In fact, ticket prices remained unchanged last year despite discussions about rising costs. This year, however, increasing expenses for equipment, uniforms, facilities, maintenance, game officials, travel, and other services necessary to operate our athletic programs led to an adjustment in district ticket prices. Officiating costs have also increased, including the move from five-person to seven-person officiating crews for varsity football.
Ticket revenue is not intended to generate a profit, nor does it go toward employee salaries. It simply helps offset the increasing costs of providing and sustaining quality athletic opportunities for our students.
A reminder for our senior Mustang fans: Overton ISD residents age 62 and older may pick up a Senior Citizen Pass at the Overton ISD Administration Office. We are always glad to have our senior community members in the stands supporting our students!
We appreciate our Mustang families and fans and recognize that increased costs affect everyone. We will continue working to provide quality programs for our students and an enjoyable game-day experience for our community.

We’ve been a little busy getting ready for school, but we need to officially close out our Race to 100% returning student online registration!
On Monday, August 3, BOTH campuses reached the target! 🎉
🐎 Secondary crossed the finish line first, beating Elementary by just a few minutes and earning the Mustang Cup and a year’s worth of bragging rights! 🏆
🐎 Elementary was right behind them, completing its race to 100% just minutes later. Congratulations to our Elementary families on a fantastic finish!
And because both campuses reached the finish line on the same day, we think that deserves a celebration for everyone...
