The Overton Mustang Athletic program would like to invite you to participate in our Mustang Athletics Golf Tournament being held on Saturday, May 18th. This is a fundraiser for our athletic program and all money raised will go back to our athletic programs. There are several sponsorship opportunities associated with the tournament, and the cost for one team is $400. Kayla Nobles was selected to represent Overton High school in the Azalea Orthopedics basketball All Star game. We are proud of Kayla for being chosen as an all star. Her hard work and commitment to constantly doing her best is paying off. Congrats Kayla!!!

***Baseball Time/Date Updates***
With several varsity baseball players participating in the Regional Golf Tournament tomorrow the start of the game vs. Carlisle is moved back to 7pm. This will allow our players a little more time to recover from playing 18 holes, & allows them to not have to rush back.
The scheduled game vs. Union Hill on Friday, April 19th has been moved to Saturday night April 20th at 7:30pm. Union Hill has several players participating in the Regional Track meet in Denton on Friday & Saturday. We also have some players participating in the Regional Track Meet and this will allow them to compete in both events. We will honor softball & baseball senior players at 6:30pm at the baseball field on Saturday, April 20.

Girls 4x4 finished 6th and the boys finished 5th. Both groups ran their best time of the year. Girls were not pictured because they had already loaded the bus to get back to softball. Jacob Osburn ran a great leg to open the boys 4x4.
Jayden Edwards qualifies again for the regional track meet. Jayden finished fourth in the 200m dash. Great Job J!!!

Congrats Jayden Edwards for finishing second in the Long Jump, & fifth in the 100m run. Jayden is qualified for the regional meet in the long jump.
Congrats Christian Hall!!! Christian is the Area Champion in the high jump and also finished 6th in the 110m hurdles. Christian is qualified for the regional track meet in the High Jump.

Track, Baseball, and Softball updates
The Area Track Meet has been postponed from Wednesday, April 10 to Friday, April 12 with the 3200m starting at 8:30am, field events at 9:00am, and running finals at 1:00pm.
The baseball game scheduled for today has been postponed to Thursday, April 11th starting at 8pm in Grand Saline. We are the second game of a doubleheader.
The softball game scheduled for today has been postponed to Thursday, April 11th at Big Sandy starting at 5:30pm.
